they dont like it, oh well

"The more you love your decisions, the less you need someone else to love them."

There comes a time in our lives where we finally stop living for others and start living for ourselves. We begin to do the things in our life that makes us happy, no matter how dumb or weird other people may think it is. When I finally came to that realization (which was not that long ago), I stopped going to the parties I didn't want to go to and breaking my back to do things for others that I didn't want to do. It's actually quite simple. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO DO IT, DON'T DO IT!

Your happiness is the driving factor of your present and future life. Key word is YOUR life. Don't continue to live your life for others, being left alone in your misery after they've gotten what they want, but live your life for your happiness by doing the things you want. Read that book you just bought instead of going out. Play those video games until 5 a.m. Don't wear makeup for a month if you don't want. Just do what makes you happy. Your decisions are your decisions. If those people around you can't get on board, then they have to go. True friends are understanding when it comes to each others happiness and they won't down you for starting to choose yourself.

As you start to make these changes in your life, you may see...scratch that...you WILL see people fall back from you because you've stopped trying to make them happy and are starting to grow in your own happiness. And that is perfectly okay because those kinds of people were hindering your happiness. Once you start living for yourself and your own happiness, the way people think of you no longer matters. Their opinions are no longer needed. Their validation is invalidated. Don't continue to give people power over your happiness. In this new year, take your happiness back and tell those people if they don't like it, then oh well.
